ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS

BODY FOUND ON THE BEACH. The body of Mrs Helen Pitts, wife of Mr Arthur C. Pitts, builder, Victoria street, Musselburgh, was found about 10 o’clock this morning on the St. Clair Beach with the throat cut. Mrs Pitta, who, it is said, had lately been in a somewhat despondent mood, loft home at 7 p.m. yesterday to do some shopping, and did not return. An inquest was held this afternoon.
