WOOL FREIGHTS
GOVERNMENT URGED TO GARRY. {Peb United Press Association.! WANGANUI, October 5. Mr Pearce, member for Patea, has wired to the Hon. Jas. Allen: “No doubt you noted the disgraceful grab by the shipping monopoly of a penny per pound on wool! meaning £1,000,000 to the sheep farmers of New Zealand. Would urge the Government buying or chartering ships to break down monopoly, as wool can easily be held in New Zealand for some, time.”
