(Received August 16, at 1.50 p.m.) • -Uio epidemic of infantile paralysis in Aew York has reached 6,400 cases, and there have been 1,400 deaths. The epidemic is now widespread, and 200 fresh cases aro reported daily. Ihe fact that England is considering measures to prevent, the introduction of too oisease there suggests .-the probability that Australia will also require rigid; inspection of all ships from America.
