GENERAL CAREY CHECKED ON SOUTH BANK. LONDON, April 18. (Received April 19, at 8.20 a.m.) . General Sir Percy Lake reports: "On Monday night tho Turks delivered a series of;heavy_ counter-attacks on the right bank of tho Tigris, and our lines in places wore forced hack from SCO to SCO yards."
