INFANTILE PARALYSIS

Up till, noon yesterday seven mere cases of infantile paralysis were reported in the Wellington health district, including two new cases in Wellington City. The fresh cases are:—Manaia, 1; PalmeTstcn North, 1; Feiiding, 1; Tenui, 1; Ranintumau, 1 ; Wellington City. 2. Temii and Ran-i----tumau are in the Waira.rapa district. The Wellington health district includes half of the North Island and also the Nelson and Marlborougli provincial districts in the South Island.

A railroad is projected for Finnish Lapland in order to make available deposits of iron ore in that region.
