——- ■»' The following provisional promotions in the Post and Telegraph Department have been approved by the Public Service Commissioner:— Mr T. T. King, chief postmaster, luvcrcavgill, is promoted to the position of chief postmaster, Dunedin, ns successor to Mr W. M'Hutcheson, who lias retired" on superannuation. Mr D. St. George, chief postmaster, Gi-eymouth, is promoted to the position of chief postmaster, Invercargill. Mr H. D. Grocott. assistant postmaster, Dunedin. is promoted to the position of chief postmaster, Greymouth. Mr G. F. B. Smallbonc, postmaster, Dannevirke, is promoted to tho position of assistant postmaster, Dunedin.
