The death is reported of Donald Dinnie, the famous Scotch athlete, who won £II.OOO in contests.
[Dinnie was a famous all-round athlete. He visited Australia and New Zealand some 50 years ago. On the Caledonian Ground he gave exhibitions of GreeceRoman wrestling, tossing; the caber, etc.]
Eligible put up a new record for the. St. Leycr at Treulham to-day vi/.. oniiu 1 Three. This race was established iu 1899, The best times hitherto have been : 1910, Jugoda, 3min 2?er; 1914. Merry Doe, Smin 4 2-ssec; 1915. Don Ton, Jmin ssee. There were only two starters to-day—the winner and Nones.
