Tin, simmer is not making water, and is -sheltered, from a south-east-erly gale, but her to.-ition is dangerous, -tier sternpost is apparently broken. The surveyor's opinion is that if lightened aft she will probably be refloated, but the difhculty is to .get lighters alongside. 11 he Rangatira is a steel twin-screw steamer of 7,465 tons gross, and fitted with wireless tekgraphy. She was built at Belfast in 1910 by Messrs Workman, Claris, and Co., Ltd.. and is one of the regular traders be;we;m London and Now Zealand. At the time of the accident she was bound lor L'obarl and New Zealand ports, having left Lon-ion on February 26. Captain Lowden was In command of the vessel on the occasion of her last visit to New Zealand.]
