HELPING THE SUFFERING BELGIANS.
TO TUi; EDLIOR. Sir.—Referring to the need of the above, the Hospital Saturday Association some time ago floated an art union in aid of the Belgian relief fund and Belgian, doctors and pharmacists' relief fund. Though launched last year, tho Queen Carnival and other patriotic movements have interfered with its being completed. The Minister of Internal Affairs having granted an extension of time for tho drawing, the committee have now decided to widen the scope by displaying the pictures in the f-treet, selling the tickets from stands, etc. This will be done about the end of the month. Several excellent pictures and works of art havo been donated.—On behalf of tho Hospital Saturday Association of Otago, we are, etc., Walter L Logie, President. J. C, M'Geoeoe, Organising Sec. R. Martin, Hon. Treasurer. April 1.
