• LONDON, March 51. There was a distressing naval mishap during Tuesday’s blizzard. Though the storm was at its height many naval liberty men took boats anti returned to their ships, and all got aboard safely except tho cutter belonging to the Conquest, which a steam launch was towing. The hawser broke, and it is believed tiro cuttgr capsized. Forty-five men were drowned, whereof 37 were married.

(Received April ], at 1,40 p.m.) Horst Von der Goltz, who was brought from .Britain to give evidence in the American aiiti-noutrsiity prosecutions, confessed that Von Papen was implicated in an attempt to blow’up the Welland Canal in Canada.
