In the Magistrate’s Court at Whangarei yesterday Charles Henry Rule, clerk of public works at Oakleigh, was charged with the forgery of the signature of W. R. Patterson to two vouchers for £34 15s and £54 12s 6d respectively. The evidence went to show that full restitution had been made. The accused pleaded guilty to both charges, and was committed to tjie Supreme Court for sentence.
