The. monthly meeting of tho Moray Pia,co School Committee was held last evening; present—Messrs W. S. Pattison (chairman), Thomson, M'Gill. Miller, Greig, M'Cleery, anl S.rann, The headmaster reported the number on tho roll to be 347—188 boj-s: and 159 girls; also that the children had forwarded £2 3s to the Belgian 'babies' fund, a.nd had also forwarded th? following articles to the Ladies' Association for the troop.*—l 3 pairs cuffs, 10 pairs socks, 52 handkerchiefs, 37 servioe bags, 185 button bags, 6 balaclavas, 26 soap bags, 24 facecloths. The scholars luwi upheld the honor of the school in tho swimming carnival held in the Public Baths, thi following pupils be hug winners:—Beatrice Sc-1/, Phvliis Pullur, Mary Self. Harry Mitchell,* F. Buchanan, C. King-, H. Stewart; the results being two first prizes, three seconds, one third, and on*- special—a very creditable, performance. Messrs Pattrson and Thomson wore appointed a. Visiting Com*, mittee for the ensuing month.
