Our Waimrapa correspondent •nines: The Masterton horse Three, with 7.3 in the Now Zealand Cup, is greatly fancied, among local sportsmen.— Ohilles has recovered from the mishap which prevented him running a t the Grand National Meeting Chillies is in the New Zealand Cup. —The Soult horse Waimangu, which won the Aucldand Cup in 1910, has arrived in Masterton, where he will do stud duty this season.—The only Masterton horse to win a race at the National Meeting was-Prince Laddo, although Ruatangata, in the same stable, .was second on two -occasions.—The Masterton horses engaged at Mairton meeting next week are Prince Laddo, Chatto, Botanist, and Buatangata.—Red Ribbon, by Salvation—Blue Ribbon, is doing good work on the track. Red Ribbon will probably start at Dannevirke meeting nest- month. .Mr R. Templeton has a.-rain assumed the secretarial duties of the Waikouaitd Racing Club. The question of erecting a grand stand on the racecourse” at an estimated cost of £1,600 has been detwsad tor fmttuor onn«id pra.tion.
