LADIES’ TOURXAMEXT. Tlie Otago LadleC Golf Club commenced ;heir annual open tournament at Balmacewen links yesterday, when the two qualifying rounds for the Open -Championship were played. In conjunction with the round in the morning, the Misses Mill's Challenge -Cup (handicap limit 24) was played, also a medal handicap match, and in conjunction with that in the afternoon another medal handicap match. The conditions were not favorable to the best, of golf, a strong wind, somewhat cold, prevailing all day. The Misses Mill’s Challenge Cup and abo the first handicap medal match were won by Miss Roberts, with a net score of 78. The second medal match was won by Miss Glendining, with a net sccre of 81. The following eight players qualified for the championship play:—Mrs Murphy, Mrs M'Car thy. Mrs Sargood, Mrs Cook. Miss Theomin. Miss Roberts, Miss Mill, Miss Glendining.
