SNOW IN THE VOSGES.
FURIOUS GERMAN ATTACKS. BASLE, April 12. There are 18m of snow in the Vosgcs. Bad weather is interfering with operations between Woevre and the Meuse. The Germans have for several days been furiouslv attacking the positions captured at HaTtnianns-Wsilevkopf. The French guns .have practically destroyed the cover in tho district, and tho Germans, forced to at-tack-'almost in tho open, sugared many casualties.
