PICNICS
BEGG AND OO.'S EMPLOYEES. As is their custom, the directors at Messrs Chas. Begg and Co., Ltd., entertained the members of the staff and the:r friends to an outing on Saturday last. The party, numbering close on 150, journeyed by the ferry steamer Maheno (specially chartered for the occasion) down the harbor to Hinkley's Bay, where various games, sports, etc., were indulged in. A delightful day was spent, everyone present enjoying the outing and fully appreciating tho firm's generosity. The fol lowing is a list of the prize winners :
