TO THI-; EDITOR. Sir, —I do not think there was the slightest vsc in appointing' a Food Commission To my mind it was only a waste of money. Fur a long while past I have stated that we should have an export duty on a sliding scale for all foodstuffs leaving our Dominion. Were that so we would have no cause to complain much. Of course, in advocating such I have been told I ought to be in gaol.—l am, etc., EI,KI'TOK. September 25.
