A meeting of the Huntly Relief Comjnittee was held this morning, the Mayor (Mr J. B. Shaeklock) in Wis chair. The treasurer reported that he had received in *ll £192 18s 6d. £IOO had already been pent to the Mayor of Huntly to the relief fund, and li© had approximately another £IOO in hand. On the motion of Mr Cohen the treasurer was given authority fa mead & further £IOO to Huntly. Letters
were .receiver! from the Mayor of Huntly and the chairman of the Huntly Town Board thinking' the committee for the first donation. Further arrar.genl.3nts were made in connection with the concert to bo given by the Dunedin Philharmonic Society in 'lit' Garrison Hall to-morrow, tho proceeds of which are to be given to the fund. Tho secretarr reported having received the following further donations : H.K.M. CI, A. Kvle £3, J. Rattray and Son- £5 ss, Trades and Labor Council £2 2s.
