♦ The above society's 13th annual festival will commence on Wednesday. Thi festival promises to be more than usually attractive this year. Included ia the syllabus are several new item* which are expected to appeal to the public —viz., Dickens character sketch, piano duos, instrumsntal trios, fife and dram bond contest, eta The choir contest promises to provide th* beet choir-tinging yet heard in Dunedin. The school choir contest will also furnish an interesting competition. The committee have decided to hand over this year's profits to the patriotic fund, so it is hoped that the public will generously patronise the festival and thus help to assist this worthy object. Season tickets ore now obtainable at the secretary'* office, and as & limited number only will be issued, early application is necessary.
