THE EMPIRE'S CALL
THE DEMAND FOR HORSES. We have good reason for saying that the chief demand at this hour, as it was 'n the earlv stages of the Boer War, is for STAUNCH AND RELIABLE HORSES for the men who are responding to Lord Kitchener's urgent call for mounted) men for service abroad. We therefore call upon our fellow-colonists in Otaga to do their duty with the same liberality that they have always shown in like circumstances when the Empire has called upon them to make sacrifices. The real need of the hour is HORSES, HORSES, HORSES, more than coin of the realm. We therefore ask our readers and friends to make prompt and liberal response.
