HARBOR BOARDS. » [From Ock Pabmamektahv Repoeteb.] WELLINGTON, July 9. The Harbors Act Amendment Bill contains a provision that a board may bv resolution passed at a meeting at which all „the members aTe present agree t# pay any oi\ all tho members a," special allowance of £1 18 for each days attendance at tho board's meetings, in addition to reasonable expenses incurred in travelling. Other provisions are that the Governor may vest the control of a foreshore iu the local authority for a period not exceeding 21 years, and tho said local \aufchority or the Domain Board may erect baths and bath houses, and may make by-laws regulating their use and fix the charges. The Government may empower the local authority, to delegate their right to make by-laws to a bathing club.
