In ihe Matter of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913," "The Dunedin City and Suburban Tramways Act 1900 Amendment Act, 1901," and "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1008." PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council proposes raising a SPECIAL LOAN for the purpose and under the terms following: (a) The purpose for which the proposed Loan is required is to enlarge and extend the tramway system controlled by the said Council, in particular by the addition of newcars, remodelling a number of existing cars, purchase of motor buses, and alteration to the car shed. (b) The sum proposed to b© borrowed is thirty thousand pounds (£30,000). (c) The proposed security for the interest and repayment of the Loan is an annuallyrecurring Special Rate of one penny in the £ on the rateable value, of all rateable property within the City of Dunedin, in addition to tho liability of the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of tho City of Dunedin, and of its assets generally for the payment of the Debentures proposed to be issued and tho interest and ctber charges thereon.. The Loan will be raised by the issue of Debentures having a currency of 26 years, and the whole Loan will be repayable at the date of maturity of tho said Debentures. A Sinking Fund of cne per centum on the amount of the Loan will be provided towards such repayment.
