WELLINGTON, July 9. Tho Hon. James Allen informed mo this morning that the Education Bill is ready for final consideration by Cabinet, and that it will be brought down in the near future. There has been ho delay over its preparation, and the question of increased salaries to teachers will not be affected by the exact time in which the Bill, becomes law. The now scale of salaries will commence/from a certain date, whether the Bill'is'passed in the first month or the third month of tho session.

■As to any suggestion that preference is unfairly given to the Religious Instruction in Schools Referendum Bill, tho Minister points out that absolutely no favor is shown in the matter at all, which is n6t a policy or party question.
