PERSONAL
Mr Alexander Jameson, national secretary of the Y.M.C.A.s of New Zealand, arrived by the second express from the North last evening. He will be in Dunedin until Thursday, after which he visits .the associations at Milton and Invercargill. Mr. Jameson returns to Dunedin towards the end of the month. Messrs Aalin and Bedford have been appointed solicitors to the West Harbor Borough Council. A Fremantle cabin announces the arrival of Madam Melba by the Orient liner Orsova. At the conclusion of the business of the St. Kilda Council last evening ex-Ov S. B. Mac Donald, who leaves for Invercargill on Friday to take up his new duties as secretary "of the Southland branch of the United Insurance Company, was entertained 5 at cupper by the Mayor (Mr W. 1. M'Farlanc) and councillors, who wished him every success in his new sphere.
