Dr M'Nab, in the course-of an interview prior to his departure for tho Dominion, reiterated his opinion that New Zealand did not desire a local navy. He believed that one result of the coming elections would be the reversion to Sir Joseph Ward’s policy of contributions to tho Imperial fleet.
Dr M'Nab’s researched in the Mitchell Library led to his unearthing further valuable historical records.
