With reference to the suggested BritishGerman Shipping Conference regarding New Zealand trade, it is stated that the British companies have been given to understand that the Kaiser has expressed a wish for the establishment of a direos service from Hamburg, and that be is also responsible for the continuance of the mail and passenger subsidy to the Norjr deutscher service to Australia.
