A Gore message States that a body was found in the Mataura River at Menzies Ferry yesterday It was identified as that of Stephen Bray, aged 32, who disappeared from Mataura on May 3. An 6ld colonist named W. Bennett, who cante out in the Creasy—One of the first four ships—was found in a dying condition in his hut at Kaiapoi last night. Ho died later.

William Marzahan. aged 55 years, a farmer at Howea Siding (near Gore), while Assisting to cut down a tree, dropped dead yesterday. A Waimate P.A. message says :—William Quinn, a young man, was run over by a motor bar near Makikihi about 12 o’clock last night, and. died shortly after.
