CITY POLICE COURT.

Drunkenness.—John Franco was convicted and discharged. Lctitia Berkley was fined 20s or seven days, and a prohibition order was granted against her. A Loiterer.—lsabella Jolly was charged with loitering and importuning passers-by. —Evidence was given by Constables Deere, Lean, and Bandy.—Accused was committed to the Salvation Army Home for a period of 12 months. Prohibited.—John Pringle, a prohibited person, vr»s charged with procuring liquor, and was find 40s and costs (17e).

A Collision.—Lancelot H. Jennings was charged with failing to ride his motor cycle on the left or near side of the Anderson Bay road when turning into Princes street. Mr F- B. Adams appeared for tho defendant, who pleaded guilty.— The Sub-inspector said that the defendant collided with a cyclist named Quarterman, who was knocked down and injured. Quartern;an bad to be attended to by a doctor for a bruised shoulder and fore-head-—Mr Adams said that .the defendant had been riding on the left-hand side, but ho crossed on to the right_ side about Jsoyds from the corner. Of course he sfxould have kept parallel with the footpath for a further distance, but he did not admit any negligence, although he pleaded guilty. —The Sub-inspector said it was not suggested that the defendant was riding at a furious pace—Fined 10s and costs (7si. Prohibition Order—An order was granted against a man.
