A DIVER'S REPORT. ' Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. OTTAWA, June 8. (Received June 9, at 11.40 a.m.) A diver descended to inspect the Empress of Ireland. He reports that he expects to recover all the bodies. The Empress is lying sideways in 30 fathoms of water. MEMORLAL SERVICE. SYDNEY ACTORS ATTEND. ~SYDNEY, June 8. At the request of the Actors' Association the Archbishop of Sydney conducted an * impressive memorial service in the Anglican Cathedral in memory of the Empress of Ireland victims. He paid a tribute to Air Laurence Irving's character. There were many actors and prominent citizens present. References to the disaster were also made in other churches. Mr Walter Bent-ley, at the Unitarian Church, also paid a tribute to Mr Irving.
BRISBANE FAMILY'S LOSS.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER.
BRISBANE, June 8. A cable received from her father confirms the rumor that Miss Gertie Byrne, aged 20 years, was a victim of the' Empress of Ireland disaster. Mr Byrne's cable adds that the body of his wife has not been found. This is the first intimation that Mrs Byrne was among the victims. The Byrnes were members of a prominent Brisbane family, who aro noted philanthropists.
