A match between Jim Hagertv (Timaxii, 9.9) and Frank o'Grady (Victoria, 9.8), for the professional light-weight championship of New Zealand, took place at Wellington last night. In the twelfth round O'Grady's seconds threw in the towel, and Hagerty was declared the winner. Allegation has been nominated for the Epsom Handicap and Jack Delaval for the Metropolitan Stakes at the A.J.C. Spring Meeting.
