The Manawatu Racing Glub yesterday held an inquiry into the alleged interference by Bold Stroke in the Manawatu Stakes. The stewards were satisfied that the interference was not intentional, but in their opinion owners should exercise greater care in putting up indifferent orsemen incapable of controlling their mounts. The following horses have been rehahdicapped for the Hawke's Bay meeting next week:—Gup, Sir Knox, 8.4 ; Porangatau Handicap, Merry Roe, 9.0. Mr Stead's Bori Beve Was, it transpires, a good second favorite when he won the Goc-gee Handicap at Bandwick.
