The flames drive back the rescuers. SIXTY-SEVEN RESCUED. NEW "YjpRK, April 29. (Received April 50, at noon.) Sixty-seven men were rescued alive from the New River colliery after all hope had been abandoned.

One hundred and seventy men are still entombed behind the flames. The mine authorities are afraid there is not the slightest hope of saving them.
