DEMONSTRATIONS AGAINST MR ROCKEFELLER. PANAMA TOLLS REPEAL BILL SAFE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, April 29. (Received April 30, at 2 p.m.) A number of demonstrators against Mr Rockefeller's attitude over the Colorado strike were arrested after demonstrating outside Mr Rockefeller's, jun., offices. Those arrested included Mr Upton Sinclair, the novelist, and his wife and children, and Elizabeth Freeman, an English suffragette. The Socialists had arranged to parade before the officers wearing signs of mourning, when the police intervened. Seven persons were killed in the neighborhood of the Forbes mine when the strikers attacked the mine. Buildings were burned, and two charred bodies were fcund in the debris." WASHINGTON, April 29. The Interoceanic Canals Committee have reported to the Senate the Panama Tolls Repeal Bill without amendment.
