* The anr.ual report of the New Zealand Rugby Union Management Committee states that £2OO was distributed last season to affiliated unions for the encouragement of Rugby in the primary schools. An invitation had been extended to- the South Africans to visit New Zealand, but this was not possible this year. The balancesheet shows a credit balance of £3ll, but against this must be set tho expense of the New Zealand team to Australia in the current season. The. following amounts aro now on loan to affiliated unions :—Hawke's Bav. £b4s; Wanganui, £500; Tnranaki. £225: Wellington. £1,050; Southland, £2,450; Otago, £950. Arrangements have been made to increase the Otago advance by £SOO for ground improvements. The balance-sheet shows that the accumulated fund on March 31 vas £1,335 6s lOd.
