To-day. Fat Sheep.—3,3oß. This was a big yarding, and competition was keen for wethers, but medium and light-weight sheep and ewes showed a drop on last week’s prices. This is partly accounted for by freezing buyers operating on reduced limits, owing to a fall in the London market. Best wethers sold at 23s to 255; medium, 20$ to 22s 6d; others, 19s to 30s. Best heavy ew r es, to 22s 6d; best ewes, 17s 6d to 20s; medium, 15s to 16s 6d; others, 12s to 18s. Fat Lambs.—l,B39. A big yarding, prices being about the same as those or last week. Quotations: Best lambs, 18s to 19s; extra, to 20smedium, 15s to 16s; inferior, 14s to 13s. Pigs. —There was a full yarding of all classes except store pigs. The number of baconers was over the buyers’ requirements. It Was expected that prices would be about equal to those ruling last week. Cattle.—224.
