HARRIERS

Weeklv runs were held on Saturday. All juffered "more or less owing to members being in camp at Matarae. The Pacific Harriers, who w«re running in conjunction with the Caversham Club, were the guests of the club's patron (MrT. K. Sidey! M.P) at the St. Clair Pavilion Tea Rooms * The paper was in charge of C. \V. Frve (Caversham) and J. Scott (Pa-cific), who laid a good trail. Although finding some difficulty in following the trail, on account of another clubs paper crossing it several times, the members had an enjoyar.le outing. The members were hospitably entertained by Mr and Mrs Sidey, v .he" programme concluding with an exceient musica' programme, to which both :lubs contributed. Mr C. Frye (vioejiesiderit Caversham) and Mr T. A. Dawson (vice-president Pacific) return.ee thanks '•n behalf of the clubs to the host and hostess. Mr Sidey, in reply, remarked on the friendliness and keen rivalry 'which existed between the two clubs. '!!:•-» St. Kilda Harriers ran from the MoriinL't.;, School- The paper was in charge of Coburn and Dash.wood, who laid hi excellent trait. Next Saturday the club will run from Macandrewe to Portobello. The members of the Y.M.C.A. Harrier and A.A Club were pleased to have their ■tie member, Mr W. G Hannah, out with them at their run from the residence of Mr G. Hastie, Duncan street G. B. Hastie and A. B. Stevenson laid the trail, going up to Roalyn and then down into the Kaifeorat Valley, and up Frascr'e Guliy for ?orae distance. Here the hanas gavo the pack something to do to get through, a thick clump of broom. A brisk ran brought the pack over to Maori Hill, and thence home along the drive. Aftor tea an enjoyable evening was spent with mono and games, and ootxxn dispersing Captain Benjamin tendered, the. club's Slacks to the host, hostess, «od lady frieoda. The Caxgill Road f Methodist Harriers held their weekly Tax from St. Clair baths. The hares (L. Jasnea and H. Kitchen) laid an excellent trail, mod some ideal harrier country w»s traversed. The" Danedin Anglican Harriers ran from-the Arthur Street SchocL The ferail was laid by Baird and D. M. PaAerson, and the result was an enjoyabl* afternoon's acting for all who took part.
