William John Renner, a well-known Waikato contractor, who was arrested at Gisborne a few days ago, appeared at the Hamilton Court yesterday and was adjudicated a bankrupt. A petition of the Waikato Farmers' Auctioneering Company showed that Renner owed a considerable amount in the district, and £1,050 to the petitioning firm. The grounds of the petition were that Renner left home and intended to leave the Dominion, with intent to defraud or delay his. creditors. Renner admitted insolvency, but denied any intention to abscond. The rector of a Norfolk parish picked up a lady's watch in the village street, and on the Sunday announced the fact from the pulpit, in case the owner should be among the congregation. Immediately after he gave out the hymn ' Lord, her watch Thy Church" is keeping.'

Following the advice of a friend, I tried a bottle of RHEUMO, and that bottlo drove away the Sciatica pains. That was three months ago, and they have not returned since. If they do, RHEUMO is the medicine I shall go for." Mr Capper's confidence comes from experience. Sold by chemists nnd- stores at 23 6d and 4-s 6d per Kbttle.rAdvt.i
