A TRIMMER’S DEATH
TUCKER CHARGED WITH MURDER. John Alfred Tucker appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington yesterday charged with wilfully murdering John Henry Gallagher, who died as the result of a blow struck during a street row on Saturday evening. Evidence was given as to a disagreement in the hotel bar and an adjournment to the street, where the deceased struck at accused, who hit back, and Gallagher fell. Deceased was drunk, bat Tucker was sober. Further hearing was adjourned till Friday.
