At Salt Lako City tho wool growers considered tho introduction of co-operation in wool growing, in order to compete with tho incoming- Australian produce. Steps to elimiitate entirely the commission men who lowered the growers' profits were also advocated. Ex-Govemor Gooding 1 , of Idaho, said that unless the- selfish manufacturers were curbed they would destroy not only the wool growers but the nation itself. Ho added that the industry would not prosper while the Democrats were at the heart of affairs. He attacked Chief Secretary Bryan for the leading- part- he took in tho introduction of tho free wool campaign.
