When the Federal House of Representatives reassembled to-day to continue the debate on the Electoral Bill the f?w Labor members who were present slipped out, leaving the House one short of a quorum. In spite of all efforts by the Government whips the required number could not hp made up, and the House had to adjourn until Tuesday. MR COOK'S SARCASM. MELBOURNE. September 20. ißeceived September 20. at 8.45 a.m.) The leaders of the Liberal party are sore over last night's count-out. which th?y allege had been deliberately planned.
Mr Cook declares that the occurrence can be taken as evidence of the Opposition's burning desire to do the business of the country.
