The Amateur golf championship of Canterbury was played on the Shirley links, Christchurch, on Saturday, and was won by B. C. Rutherford (166 strokes). B. B. Wood (171 strokes) was runner-up. The Morning Medal Handicap was won by N. K. Cox (Timaru), and the Afternoon Medal Handicap by C. Humphries (New Brighton). The following is the draw for the Bogey Match of the St. Clair Ladies' Golf Club, to bs played to-morrow:—Mrs Wood v. Miss Burt, Mrs Gihay v. Mrs Isaacs, Mrs M'Carthy v. Miss Taine, Miss Gregg v.
