BOWLING TOURNEY

THE PAIRS. The Dnnodin Centre's Easter tournef ■was contmoed to-day, thodoubles' -competitions being fought. The greens were all .more-or less heavy after last night's rain, and a little after noon the drizzle again set in. KAITUNA GREEN. < i'he heavy rain during the night necessitated'a delay of an horn- at' Kaituna Green, which was in a very wet condition on the farther side under the hinh bank. A high wind early in the morning, however, unproved matters very rapidlv. and when play commenced at 9 p.m. the' green was, all things considered, in remarkablv good order. On account of the delar it was resolved to reduce the number of heads in each game from 16 to 14. Tlav was of a :good standard throughout. AH the plavers started m the first round of the Otago competition, but the winners on.lv continued in it, while the losers of tho round passed into the, first round of the Dunedin Competition, which round was tho second in the morning's play. Mr J. Scott (of Kaituna Club) acted as umpire, and spared no efforts to supply complete information.
