Inrercargill Town Council decided tn authorise Sir Joseph Ward to sell £90,000 worth of 4-i per cent debentures at 93 in London. The money is required for waterworks extension, sewerage, and tramways. The council thanked Sir Joseph Ward, who had intimated that he would decline to receive any remuneration for his serrices in finding purchasers.
