AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL.

NORTH DUNEDIN CLUB,

The fourth annual meeting of the North Dunedin Football Club was held last evening in the George Street School Hall. Air W. Goodwin presided over a small attendance of members. The annual report stated that last seasun t\as not a satisfactory one. This was due to the club being deprived of their playing area on the Oval, just after the commencement of the season, the reason using that the City Council desired to start immediately to top-dress and improve the ground. They then shifted to another part of the Oval, but the ground proved so uneven and dangerous that, after numerous; accidents, it was agreed by the different clubs that the competition be abandoned for the season. The plaviim strength had fallen off considerably owing to members leaving the district. The club had sustained a great loss by the removel of the president of the club (Air J. I’. Sindrey), who had returned to Alelbourne. The retiring committee made a special appeal to members to train vigorously and to use every effort to promote the advancement of the club. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet (which showed a credit balance of £7 0s Id), the Chairman said he regretted that the report was not as satisfactory as they could have wished. This was owing to the unfortunate circumstances. which arose to deprive the dub of their playing ground. The following were elected office-bearers tor the ensuing year President, Air 8. G. Pudney; vice-president. Air J. R. Hunt: secretary and treasurer, Mr A. J. Rice • General Committee—Alessrs E. R. Alorcan! F. G. AVeston, A. 8. Worrall, u. Goodwin, and F. Ralph; auditor. Air G. Bwift; delegates to Otago Football League— Alessrs J. R. Hunt and A. J. Rice. , opening practice match was fixed for Alarch 29. A 7 otes of thanks to the retiring officers the Press, and the chair closed the meeting.
