Y.M.C.A.
On Sunday afternoon, at,the strangers’ tea at the Young Men’s Christian Association, the general secretary (Mr Hughes) gave an account of the work done by the association at the recent Territorial camp at Sutton. The leisure hours of tho men were 'occupied by lectures, concerts, etc., every evening, and these were largely attended. The chaplains in camp, the Revs. Graham Balfour, Pybrts, and Bush King, co-operated in making these functions interesting and helpful, lire reading and correspondence facilities were largely made use of by the men. The junior department of the association has assumed such proportions that it has been found necessary to secure the assistance of a man who will give his attention to this important phase of Y.M.C.A. work. Nearly 250 boys are now in the- department, and every day fresh additions are made to tire number. An advertisement in this connection appears in another column.
