[The above step appears to have been taken with the intention of challenging the validity of the Act, but in the absence of fullor_ details it may be as well to state that it is optional for an-employer in a trade or district where it is customary to pay wages during sickness to avail himself of an arrangement whereby, if ho contracts to pay his employees full remuneration for a period of sickness lasting (in any given year) six weeks or under, the weekly ioint contribution is reduced from 7d to’ 2d.]
