TV ' Round Table' for the. December quarter deals interestingly with. a. number of questions of the hour, beginning with a thoughtful article on 'Arbitration and War.' in which the conclusion arrived at is that tjvs former is no cure for the latter so long as there is no power strong enough to enforce its substitution. A German view of the Balkan crisis emphasises the large commercial interests Germany holds in Turkey. 'The Australian Banking System ' is a subject treated on at some length, and disturbance consequent on the coming of the Commonwealth Bank is prophesied with confidence. Strikes and legislation, constitute another well-t.rea.ted Australian topic. The New ZealiUid letter deals witih less interesting matter, being largely a resume of the pol£ tieal changes of last year. These.- however, are outlined in concise form and in an unbiased spirit
