REMARKABLE HAILSTORM
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, December 24. (Received December 24, at 9 a.m.) There was a remarkable hailstorm in the Inverell district. The trees for miles were stripped, the leaves forming a perfect carpet beneath. Numerous windows were smashed by hailstones the size of tennis balls, and weighing over a quarter of a pound. Galvanised iron roofs wero dented, and in some cases pierced. Several horses wero knocked down, and a number of live stock killed.
