SLAUGHTERMEN TO RESUME. SYDNEY, November 27. At a. mass meeting of the slaughtermen on strike it was decided to resume work to-morrow, pending the submission of the dispute to arbitration. The General Laborers' Union have served a demand on tho City Council for an increase from 8s 6d per "day to Is 3d per hour. It is thought that "the union have timed their demand in view of the approach of the municipal elections in New Zealand.
SLAUGHTERMEN SEEK CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION.
WELLINGTON. November 28.
_ The Federated Slaughtermen's Asociation and the Southland Slaughtermen's Union have applied for cancellation of their registration. Only the Auckland and Canterbury Slaughtermen's Unions have now not made application for cancellation.
