Yates' of San Fernando, while crossing First street, and seeing that escape for both her and her child was impossible she tossed the child to a woman, who was standing a few feet away just as the automobile hit her. The poor woman -s now in hospital, suffering from two broken ribs and a fractured, anti, and il is possible, that there are also internal injuries. Her recovery is doubtful.
